Launch event of Trumaster-ALR in Ireland – 2017

Presentation of the Trumaster-ALR LCD recycling machine in Ireland on 11 July.

The Trumaster ALR, ReVolv project’s LCD recycling machine’s, launch event took place on 11 July 2017 at the facilities of the Dublin based Allied Automated, manufacturer and consortium member of the ReVolv project. Participants were from among others the WEEE the industry (KMK Recycling, Green Square Ltd., E3D Environnement, Nec New Ecology, Electronic Recycling, Chevron Environmental Limited), WEEE compliance schemes (WEEE Ireland, ERP Recycling) the national environmental authorities (Irish EPA, DCCAE Gov Dept of climath Change Action and Environment), project members (DanWEEE Recycling, Votechnik, WEEE Forum) and other sectors (Wentworth). Many of the particpiants were members of the project Advisory Board (KMK Recycling, WEEE Ireland, ERP Recycling, Environmental Protection Agency).

The agenda included presentations on the flat panel display market, the historical progress of the project, the EU funding instruments and a presentation of the manufacturer of the machine closed the session. After the informative presentations, the Trumaster-ALR was presented in full operation. Participants were shown the feeding in of the LCDs, the automatic separation of the liquid crystal panel and the automatic removal of the CCFL tubes.

The machine will be soon delivered to the facilities of the DanWEEE, in Hedehusene, Denmark, where demonstration days will be held in early 2018 (Q1) for the WEEE industry and the wider public.

The members of the ReVolv project consortium are: Allied Automation, DanWEEE Recycling, University of Limerick, Votechnik, WEEE Forum.

We are happy to announce that the Trumaster-ALR LCD recycling technology has been manufactured, it has been tested and is now ready to be presented to everyone interested to see it. Different events have been planned to visit the Trumaster in Ireland and Denmark.
